maple leaf bowls
Job: Corporate Commission
Date: December 2001
Overview: These bowls were created for a corporate client to use as holiday gifts for business associates. We produced a sizable run of these, and think that they are a nice permutation of the leaf motif. They are forged, chiseled and dished from 1/8 inch plate steel. The bowls are then hot brazed to give them burnished highlights, and hot coated with proprietary beeswax/boiled linseed oil mixture to both prevent oxidization and to add depth to the overall finish of the piece. The final product measures about 9 inches in diameter.
