Job:      Interior Architectural  Commission

Date:     June  2003

Site:      Arlington, VA

Overview:  Designed in-house, these racks were built to fit within the end spaces of the homeowner’s kitchen cabinetry. The racks extend from floor to ceiling and will hold 26 bottles of wine apiece. They are designed to be fitted with slate panels to make shelves and countertop. Each unit was constructed in a way that allows them to break down into two components without the need for any tools, and the top rack section can be used as a stand-alone fixture. The finish is patinated brown/black, with burnished highlights, and covered with proprietary beeswax/linseed oil mixture.  Two such racks were commissioned and built.
