Overview: This piece was inspired by some clay Picasso owls. It is actually created from the bottom cut-off left over from the SCUBA cylinder used to make der Crockenspiel. Waste not want not. The body is riveted sheet steel which hides a counter-balance armature to support the whole thing. If struck on the head, it produces a beautiful tone, so this too is technically a bell also.
